Ionic Colloidal and Silver Protein - Simple

Ionic, Colloidal, and Silver Protein - Simple

There are basically three types of products that are marketed as “Colloidal Silver” and these can be categorized as:

1. Ionic Silver - (Clear)
2. Colloidal Silver - (Amber/Yellow)
3. Silver Protein - (Brown)

Many products claiming to be colloidal silver are in fact ionic silver also called silver hydrosol, silver water and other names.

Colloidal, Ionic and Silver Protein Simple

Ionic Silver

Ionic silver solutions are products whose silver content primarily consists of silver ions. Although ionic silver is often marketed as colloidal silver, it’s not true colloidal silver. A silver ion is an atom of silver that is missing one electron. Ionic silveris not the same as metallic silver which is asilver particlecalledcolloidal silver.
Ionic silver is great to spray on things externally like skin cuts, burns since it will grab the electron from those pathogens including bacteria and fungus, killing them and helping the skin heal and regenerate nicely.

However, when ingested into the body, the silver ions bind with chloride ions, like the hydrochloric acid in the stomach and blood, which contains about 3900 ppm of chloride, and becomes Silver Chloride
Silver Chloride is a different silver compound and NOT effective in killing bacteria and viruses inside the body.

Colloidal Silver

Real proper nano size Colloidal Silver is produced through a carefully controlled and monitored electrolysis process which first creates a silver ion, then goes though a second reduction process of carefully combining that silver ion with electrons to create an actual nano sized silver metallic particle called a colloid or Colloidal Silver

Healthy Silver's average silver particle size is 8.4nm smaller than viruses, and is not affected by the hydrochloric acid in the stomach or chlorine in the blood. It is therefore free to circulate throughout the body to kill off harmful bacteria and viruses, and will safely be discharged by the body within a day or so. It is a very stable concentration 20PPM (Part Per Million) and is so small, that the nano sized particles of silver naturally repel each other and float in the deionized water solution in an even dispersion. Since there is only water and silver it is 100% kosher.

The difference between silver ions and silver particles boils down to the fact that silver ions combine with chloride ions to form silver chloride and silver particles do not. This simple fact should be kept in mind when reading claims that silver ions are particles. If a silver ion were a particle, it would not combine with chloride.

Silver Protein

Silver protein is much easier and cheaper to make and it contain much larger particles of silver. They usually range from 200-500PPM which amounts to silver particle size of 500-1000nm. Since they are much larger than nano colloidal silver (over 100x's larger) the silver can not float naturally in the solution. In order to keep large silver particles suspended, silver protein-based products add gelatin. This would be like placing a golf ball in an air balloon so it can float in water rather than naturally sink. Silver protein is the second-most popular type of colloidal silver product on the market and can easily be made by adding water to silver protein powder. If it's more then 200PPM it silver protein.

There are three problems as a result of this process.
  1. The silver particles are too large to get to the small places you may want in the body.
  2. Since the silver particles are so large, they can potentially get stuck in the body of skin.
  3. The protein, usually from gelatin, can potentially interact with the body negatively and is usually not kosher.

How to Check if Healthy Colloidal Silver is Good

Shine a laser on the liquid in the bottle in a dark room.
If you try this on a glass of water, after the water settles for a minute, there should be no reflection from a laser. You will not see a laser line.

However, if you shine the laser on the colloidal silver, you should see a red line. This is called the Tyndall effect. What your seeing is the reflection of millions of nano sized particles of silver naturally dispersed and floating in the solution of deionized water.

If you were to put the bottle in the freezer then defrost it, the silver particles will fall out of natural solution and dispersion, and clump together on the bottom of the bottle. You would no longer see the Tyndall effect which would indicate that the silver particles will not float freely in the body. It should then be disregarded. If you store the bottle at room temperature away from light, it should last many years.
